Last drop village

This morning after Mass my friend and I went off for a walk.  We went through the Last Drop Village which is now a hotel complex.  It was formed from old farm buildings dating back to 17th Century called Orrell Fold.  I reckon this porch must be one of the oldest parts of the last drop and love the arches above the door.  You can just see them through the porch window. Anyone know about these things??

We walked up to Cox Green Road and then down little ginnels past what used to be Egerton House - a very elegant hotel/tearooms etc.  I did take a couple of shots over the fence but they didn't amount to much. The place has been abandoned and allowed to deteriorate completely.  The Urban explorers have made a film of what it once was and what is left!  It's a bit long but very interesting!  Such a pity to leave these places to go to rack and ruin!  At least The Last Drop is being used.  There used to be a wonderful toy shop and an old book shop that I loved but these have been replaced by a Bridal shop.

A quiet day once home with a lot of football!!  Tomorrow we have both girls for the day!!
