Behind the cascading water

A late decision to change bookings and have an extra day in Iceland sent S seeking something interesting and different. She booked us for a full day excursion in a “jeep”, looking at where the volcano had split open in 2008, waterfalls, a black sand beach, which required off road driving. By the driver cum guide.

Getting up a wet and steep, uneven rocky path was a struggle that S forewent, but it was well worth it. As well as trying to show the waterfall from behind (see extra), I decided a selfie was called for.

This was a day we will remember, along with so many other days on this trip.
