Pictorial blethers

Pretty parasite

I love honeysuckle - especially when it's a lovely flamingo-like pink as this one is. It was all over the trunk of a tree at the Ardentinny village car park, hidden in the shadow and blushing unseen as if it saw itself in Gray's poem.* And yes, it was wasting its sweetness - I can't smell honeysuckle any more, though it used to be a favourite of mine.

*Elegy written in a Country Churchyard:
"Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
And waste its sweetness on the desert air.  "
