Blue Dasher

I walked up to the lake to see if I could find something different. Two juvenile black-crowned night herons were out and about. Several moms and older ducklings and lots of dragonflies taunting me.

I tried getting a shot of them flying, but I was not fast enough on the focus. They would fly by, return in time for me to get my hopes up and then they were gone again. I finally just sat, listening to the waterfall and enjoyed the aerial show.

I am grateful that no-one was around to see me get up off the ground. I had to laugh at what it took.
