Greek Festival

Saturday
Having spent the last three weeks in California and Colorado, enjoying mainly blue skies and sunshine, we arrived back in Cincinnati late morning to dismal grey skies and rain! We had left Denver at 6.35, and had a direct flight to Cincinnati. We arrived home to find our grass really long, which came as an unpleasant surprise, since Roger had sent an email to the lawn care company we had used whilst we were in France, asking them to cut the grass the three weeks we were away, however, it would seem that they didn’t! So in the afternoon, having put some laundry in, I left Roger cutting the grass, ( the rain had fortunately stopped before we left the airport), .while I went to the supermarket, so we had some food to eat. We had noticed the Greek Festival at the Greek Orthodox Church in Finneytown was on this weekend, which we always enjoy. It’s quite a big event, lasting from Friday evening through Sunday evening, featuring lots of great Greek food, Greek music and dancing, a small fun fair, and inside a number of stalls selling items. By about 9 pm, we felt our early morning start, leaving the hotel at 4.45, was catching up with us, so we came home, but the Festival continued until 11 pm!
