There's a first time for everything and today is my first time in Solihull. I've been in Birmingham a few times in the past for work but this is not a part of the world I know well. Or at all. The journey was long and hot but no delays. A slight confusion when the helpful chap at Birmingham Moor Street station (a wonderful building which I will try to do justice tomorrow) told us to get the train to Dorridge for Solihull and I thought he said Norwich. But it all came good in the end.
Tomorrow Lyn & I will be at the National Grid offices so we have checked out their location. Nearby there is a park where these cygnets were cooling off.
It is extremely hot here. I've belatedly discovered that there's a football match on tonight and there's already a bit of a carry on in the streets so let's hope it's not a noisy night ...
