Shady walk

It was nice to have blue skies and sunshine back again today, but unfortunately that also means temperatures are on the rise, reaching a muggy 95 (35C) by Saturday. I was late getting going this morning, having had a really bad night, but I got out for a neighbourhood walk after a late breakfast before it got too hot. I then got a bit of ironing done, before lunch and settling down to watch the England v Belgium game. After the game, we headed to the outdoor pool at the “Y”, which surprisingly wasn’t that crowded. Read some more of my book, and swam 32 lengths, then dinner out on the patio when we got home, enjoying watching the fireflies flitting about above the grass and against the bushes.
