Helmut Newton and street music

After the overdose of wine last night, we did not rise very early.
Half past ten we realised that we had to leave the house at 11 am to make it in time to the Helmut Newton foundation and the Photography Museum, where we arranged with Christina to meet.
We made it almost in time and met Christina at the entrance.
I have been to the Newton exhibition before, but I again enjoyed to see his work, look into his living room that was recreated there, read his correspondences, look at his cameras, watch a movie showing him working and so much more.
I also really like his work! He has created a lot of iconic images during his life time.
The other 2 exhibitions were also very good and contained some really amazing work.
It took a few hors to get through ist all.
We had a coffee outside close to the museum and saw that there was another Photography exhibition starting at the America house - polaroids.
We will try to see this before we leave Berlin.
Christina needed to leave to get in time to here Birthday invitation and we needed to get back to the Kiez to meet Dani.
We had just enough time to walk over the fleamarket and get home, when Dani arrived.
We sat a short while in the flat, then went out to Conni for a coffee and one of her amazing cakes.
Dani and I had a huge piece of rhubarb cake each and Neil stuck to her lemony cheesecake.
After a couple of hours chatting, we left and walked to the Marheineke Platz where a busker was playing. We heard him last weekend and he was very good. So we sat in the sun and listened to "Phileas".
Dani had to go after a while and Neil and I stayed a bit longer, then went home via Kaisers.
We were not very hungry after the rich food last night and the big cake this afternoon.
At home I checked on football and we ended up watching the rest of the Croatia - Russia. It was a good game!
The Croatians were good! Let's see how England will cope on Wednesday.

We weren't late in bed as we were shattered.

Blipping Christina in the Newton Exhibition.
Extra: Phileas the busker - check out his music
