More sun...

and we could almost be in the South of France.

Had a lie in, then wandered through the woods to the toilet block to have a shower. Is it only on campsites that it is perfectly acceptable to wander around outdoors, in public, in your nightie? I think it probably is. Made a cup of tea on my return and woke the boys up. The sun was up and already very HOT, so we relaxed for a while. After coffee we walked over to the reception/shop. It is a really lovely campsite. Today it is really only beginning to open up all amenities for the peak season, but the shop was open and we bought a map of the area.

We packed a picnic and beach things, and then drove to Padstow. What a lovely, lively fishing village. Lots of gift shops and lots of eating places. We went to the tourist information centre and then stopped for tea overlooking the harbour. The sea was way out. Back at the car we had our picnic. The trusty Brexton picnic box still in use. I'll add an extra if I can.

Then on along the coast road we took a turning down to this lovely bay. A great all day car park for £3 right by the sea. There we spent the rest of the day. Jon is looking nice and brown. I sat under the umbrella.

Home via Wadebridge for a food shop. Somewhere we would like to go back to. Now rustling up pasta bake, burgers and salad. Not exciting but adequate. We worked out we can eat out again Sunday. Tonight we will plan the rest of our week....It will be the first list of my holiday!
