Chacun à son goût

This performance was not to mine. What a comedown from the lovely week I spent at the piano festival in Lagrasse. Tonight's show in the village was an Ecuadorian rock band called La Toquilla. See extra for the ambiance. My actual blip isn't representative at all, just my favourite of the few photos I took in ten minutes before escaping home (we can still hear it from here unfortunately). Still, the amphitheatre is full and everyone else seemed to be enjoying it.

Earlier we went to a talk and film about birds of prey in our local Natura 2000 classified area, specifically eagle-owls, which are huge birds, with a wingspan of nearly two metres. The film-maker had managed to install cameras and lighting in the rock overhang where the eagle owls were nesting, so there was some impressive close-up footage.
