Crossing the gully

After a rather more stressful than usual week on call, it was back to the usual Monday issues, as well as the new stuff that serves to detract from the ability to maintain focus on the longer game plan. Two major problems are in the forefront, and neither is (in my opinion) related to our core business. At least this afternoon's meeting with the Emergency Department leaders resolved many of the conflict areas, and there was the first time in almost a year that I left such a meeting feeling that we were wanting the same outcome and are in pretty much agreement on how to get there.

So, I felt quite relaxed when riding home tonight across the Grafton Bridge over the Grafton Gully. The low sun was casting golden shadows as well as making the pseudo gas lamps glow. The bus in the image was not in service, which is hard to fathom at that time of a weekday afternoon.
