Wound up in Wexford

More trees

Two more trees arrived this morning.  Nicely packaged in boxes, in very good condition.  We've already planted three good size trees earlier this year.  And we got a bargain bunch of 10 bare root small trees and shrubs soon after we moved in, several of which are now developing into good sized plants.  And then there's the other trees we've bought, including the Wollemi Pine, the Dawn Redwood, and several Magnolia trees of different varieties.  We should have a lovely woodland area in 10 years time!

We're having a debate about the wisdom of planting out the new trees immediately, given this extraordinary dry weather.  They're easier to keep watered in their pots, but as W says, they'll be fine in the ground provided we water them every day, and it gives them more time to settle in before the winter.

We are already watering the rest of the newly planted trees every two or three days.  So it won't be that difficult to increase the watering to daily.
