Sunset at Mortehoe

We spent the day wandering around National Trust Arlington Court house and gardens. The gardens were splendid especially considering the recent heatwave, and the house full of model ships. It’s also the home of the national carriage collection, but that’s not laid out to the full potential and not very Blip worthy.

It was kind of amusing though to visit the tea rooms, replete with five star hygiene certificate on the door, only to see the staff member serving our tea rip off the silver foil on the milk bottle with her teeth!!! Hope she cleaned them.

Then, a walk along the coast to watch the Sun go down from Mortehoe, where there was a spontaneous Molly Dance in the street involving lots of children and repeated instructions. The Sun was gorgeous, but low cloud presaging tomorrows possible wetness obscured the final moments.
