Life in Sunny Dubai

Not so green!

I couldn't have two more different consecutive pictures!

A very relaxed start to the day and much of the morning was spent settling in i.e. getting the summer things out. My friend put conkers down and there seem to be fewer spiders, so not too many cobwebs to hoover up!

We went to T@3 and enjoyed having tea and cake outside in the shade of the church building. There is such a big difference in temperature in the shade! My blip is the view I had of Wonersh Cricket Field. With no irrigation pipes/sprinklers here to water the plants/grass, the grass is definitely not greener on this side!

We got to Tesco, which is always an eye-opener. I managed to stay very focussed, but boy was it hot when we got back to the Lodge. Some time was spent investigating a cost-effective way to keep the temperature from fluctuating so wildly through the day. We've been listening to news reports of Portugal, Spain and France bracing themselves for 44-47degC temps tomorrow, so I am glad that we're not in that category. That will make those countries hotter, if not as hot as Dubai, except they are not geared to that type of heat.
