Still life with prawn

Generally, I haven't had much success buying cats toys. They never want to play with anything designed specifically for the purpose -- they prefer wrapping paper, boxes, string, ping pong balls, or small, preferably live, bird and mammals. Just as they won't sit in a purpose-made cat bed -- it has to be the best armchair or the humans' bed.

When we came here I bought a toy for Mystère because I thought he might be bored when he was shut in the house while settling in. To my surprise, he seems to like his woollen prawn. When it's a warm sunny day he'd rather be running madly about the garden with his tail in the air. But of an evening, when he's feeling bored because he's lost his golf ball under the sofa again, a prawn is better than nothing.
