8/8/18

I thought today was going to be a good one. The weather was perfect as I skipped out of the house before 6am to cycle a loop up round Fairmilehead and the Braid Hills. The views up top are possibly the best in Edinburgh, from Joppa and the east coast bathed in early sunshine, over to Fife with steam from Mosmorran idling vertical in the air, and the tip of the Queensferry crossing just visible behind Corstorphine Hill, then round to Craiglockhart with all of south Edinburgh, Arthur’s Seat and Blackford Hill laid out below me. Magical.

It was Shipley grandson’s 10th birthday today and the blip is a thank you for his birthday money. His birthday is very easy to remember as he was born on 8/8/08

The extra image is a unnerving one of His Lordship’s hands which turned an interesting red overnight.
