Bubbleman

There was a definite nip in the air early today which may be an unwelcome reminder that autumn is waiting in the wings.

After a lovely chat on the phone with blipper Poppy in Orkney, I accorded myself the luxury of an elevenses coffee at Bruntsfield this morning and then felt enough guilt to come home to brush and vacuum the Dower House floors with more zest than usual.
Considering that my hair is woefully lacking in volume, there was still enough of it caught in the rollers of the fairly new vacuum cleaner to make a hair piece, and the very devil to disentangle from the brushes.

Thereafter there was an afternoon of crossing and recrossing the mayhem that is Edinburgh during the Festival to live up to the ‘in sickness and in health’ vows.
The bubble man was in business as I rushed past him in Middle Meadow Walk to catch the bus. He might have chosen a better hoarding for a background!
