Oscar in the garden

Oscar seems to be spending more and more time in our garden. We have more sightings. He is also eating very well from the bowls of food we leave in the conservatory. Sometimes he ventures into Mum's lounge to eat, but always with a watchful eye on the escape route!

We went to the Laing Art Gallery to see The Enchanted Garden exhibition today. It's very good. Having the wheelchair again made the exhibition accessible to Mum. We also spent time in the fascinating Glenn Brown exhibition, Fantasy Landscapes, Portraits and Beasts.  This is a mixture of the permanent exhibition paintings and paintings by Glenn Brown. I can't understand why he has to start by copying famous paintings before distorting and swirling and making them his own, but I'm drawn to his style.

Lunch in the Laing was a poor affair. Rough and ready is the best description and the tea tasted horrid. Sadly there is nowhere else immediate to go to with the wheelchair, but we don't want to eat there again!

Then to Julie's. She had a minor op yesterday under general anaesthetic. I'm like a wet dishcloth after any anaesthetic, but she has bounced back to normal immediately and has an outing booked for tomorrow!
