Fire Engines of the Past.

Today I had a bit of a lie-in (much needed!) after persuading Brian to get Jae up for football. A wonderfully relaxed start to the day - so good not having to hit the ground running for a change. We did have stuff to do - Tesco, cooking, cleaning, etc. - just no real rush to get it done.

We  popped into town as it is Lincoln's 1940's weekend. There wasn't as much going on as usual, and what there was was spread all over the city. I took a few photos though, and this is a couple of old RAF fire engines which were on display at the Brayford.

Jeri doesn't have the boys this weekend, so she visited us after work rather than us going there. She is eating vegetarian these days, so I made my own veggie chilli recipe. It's really filling, and you don't miss the meat at all. There is a bit spare that I may feed to Zeph tomorrow - with a bit of meat in for him!

I still have no voice, and a bit of a sore throat. Then I got a migraine too, after Jeri had gone home. She doesn't usually have that effect on me! I think I'm OK now though!

Zeph starts his new job tomorrow! I hope it will all go well for him!
