The Danube

This morning we drove to Krems an der Donau (Danube) in the Wachau area. We took a cruise ship up the river to Melk (which is actually where we were yesterday) and back, having a delicious lunch on board. It was a stunning day again and this area of the Danube is beautiful.
The Church and little chapel of St Michael, pictured, date back to the early 1500's. It is a fortified church and still used today for weddings and concerts (we didn't see any weddings today).
