The Changing Garden

Dear Diary,

The garden changes day by day.  The phlox is slowly reaching its peak and I saw the first hint of blooming on the Helenium.  Our coolish mornings hint of things to come.  I am spending more time than usual documenting the garden this year as I plan to do a photo book of it...something lovely to look at during our long, white winters.

One month from today I land in Scotland!  I am longing to get back to that beautiful country, it's been four years since I last set foot in it.  Time to drag out the suitcase and to start making my lists.  I am a slow packer.  I never like to leave things to the last minute and besides, it is part of the fun of anticipation!
