More Hawk moth larvae

Having sucessfully raised Eyed and Privet hawk moth larvae this summer I thought I would move on to something slightly more exotic, so when I saw someone advertising Striped Hawk moth eggs for sale I was more than ready to snap them up!
The Striped Hawk moth  Hyles livomica , is a rare immigrant species usually found attracted to light in small numbers each year mainly in the south. Most records are of adults, but in good years larvae are sometimes found as a result of early arriving adults.
The larvae are really attractive with an arrangement of circles and lines along the body, this one has just shed it's skin to go into the third instar and if you look carefully you can just see the old skin.
