Gently down the stream

Allsorts

It really has been an allsorts kind of day.  Lots of naggy little things have been done, which makes me happy and I've given the garden a major haircut.  (It's very small.  Mercifully it doesn't take long).

And as you can see from this, the sky has been pretty allsorts too - blue skies with huge white clouds, grey clouds, very dark clouds and a moment or two where I really thought it would rain, but it didn't.

I took this on a sharp bend in the river.  It's probably my favourite viewpoint in the little nature reserve.  The river's low, but less so than it was and everythings's come through the drought looking wonderfully lush still - well most of it's standing in water.  There are still clumps of purple loosestrife and great willowherb flowering, and along the water margins  yellow monkey flowers.  I keep trying to blip these but most of the time I'm in danger of going head first into the water.

So many thanks to all of you for your stars and hearts.  It really means a lot.  I will try to turn my comments back on tomorrow.

Happy Saturday evening, whatever you're doing  xx
