Wonky vegetables

This afternoon saw the staging of the annual Flower Show in the Victory Hall at Benderloch, some seven miles north of Oban. 

Although there were not as many entries as there were at the Oban Show last week, it was a respectable turnout and there were many familiar faces. The Master of Ceremonies was Campbell Cameron, well-known in the area as the voice of Oban FM at local events.

Apart from the usual flowers and vegetable there is always a photography section, for both adults and children, which was well-entered. My favourite was the class for 'Wonky Vegetables', the sort of stuff apparently thrown out by the supermarkets in vast amounts. The First Prize was well won, I thought!
