Ibsen and I

What business has science and capitalism got, bringing all these new inventions into the works, before society has produced a generation educated up to using them!

I take the commuter train to Nationaltheater (Oslo). Wandering down Henri Ibsen Gata, past the Nobel Institut, full sunshine, parkland laid out to my right.

I find the anonymous Praqma offices, join Mike, Jon, Sami, and Hans. Jon has found and fixed the Cyber-Dojo bug that my upgrade uncovered. Steve, in England, uncovers the need to update the language start-points too. All is well.

Today’s task is to set up a deployment pipeline on Kubernetes. It’s a tedious task, similar to Lego or Meccano. Lots of different ways to achieve the same thing; lots of hypotheses and experimentation to get it done.

Pizza for lunch. Express to the airport. Slightly delayed flight followed by a massive queue at passport control. Get home, joined by Megan and Claire, for our annual Edge Of Darkness fest. Roll on, Mr Clapton.
