Grey old day

It was a sweaty and grey day as we wandered, after breakfast, up to the Fullerton Hotel (where stayed the first time we came here), over the Cavenagh Bridge, and back down the other side past the Museum of Asian Civilisations. Both of us were drenched when we got back to the hotel.

I prepared my presentation for tomorrow, and thought about today's contribution to a class on immigration and citizenship at the National University of Singapore. I also managed to interpellate a swim over lunchtime when the staff were cleaning the room. We caught a taxi up to the Bukit Timah campus, finding probably the only taxi driver on the island who seemed clueless as to where NUS law school is located and had to be guided after taking the wrong turning. Luckily the taxi we "grabbed" to go down to Holland Park Village afterwards was not so clueless, but unfortunately the Thai restaurant where we planned to meet EH was no longer there. We ended up in a Chinese restaurant featuring some delicacies which we hadn't necessarily automatically thought of trying. MRT back here.

The penultimate presentation on this trip seemed to go pretty well.
