Ripe for harvest

Luke is doing very well, thank you for all asking after him. Like his dad he has an abnormally high threshold of pain, so he is not feeling any pain and therefore not needing to take any taking pain killers (unlike his mother, who sometimes faints if she experiences any bad pain!). He is ready to throw away the crutches and wants to do more than he should so it has been a day of ensuring he is resting and taking it easy - physiotherapy starts on Monday although he has some physio exercises given to him by the physiotherapist in the hospital so he is doing those three times a day...and icing throughout the day.

I saw this field of corn when I was out and about this morning - it looked lovely in the sunshine, nearly ripe for harvest.

I have spent most of the afternoon setting up the menu options on my new camera and watching videos on the internet about various features of the camera. I have also decided it is about time I start using back button focusing, so that may take some getting used to.

Thomas started school today, his final year - Upper Sixth (grade 13) it will be a very challenging and exciting year for him.
