A sad collection

Walked to Notcutts garden centre to renew our loyalty card and claim this month’s free coffee. Astounded to find that almost the whole place was decked out with Christmas paraphernalia.

Their excuse was that the Maidstone store was the training centre for the “Notcutts Family” and indeed there were several groups of people standing around listening to the finer points of the display.

Even Christmas music was piped around and those reindeer were back https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2369040142540212613. We overheard several people adversely commenting on the spectacle. I think they could have hired a warehouse and set up the displays there for training.

Today was a landmark day, we passed the 1000 mile mark for this year’s Walk 1000 miles challenge. The fifth consecutive year we’ve completed the challenge. Our cumulative total is now well over 6000 miles. We are 6 days later in completing the distance than last year but a few days earlier than 2016.

Today’s blip is of a rather sorry collection of redundant tin animals. Destined for recycling I hope.
