Willowherb

The nights are getting cooler, but a good day was forecast, so I took myself off to The Vyne, a National Trust house near Basingstoke.  This was my  first visit since they had finished a major reroofing project, and I was curious to see the changes to house since it fully re-opened a few weeks ago.

It was good to see the first floor rooms again, particularly the Long Gallery where I was surprised to see a friend from choir busy with a vacuum - she is a volunteer guide and conservator there. The new layout also gave new insights to the place which I have visited since the 1990s.

Outside, I walked round the lake looking for images for BikerBear's "Flower Friday" and Miranda1008's "Wild Flower Week" challenges.  This Willowherb with its wonderful seedheads (see extra) seemed to fit the bill
