Wet was an understatement!

Saturday 8th September 2018

Today was our walking group so inevitably it was raining! The forecast said occasional showers so we set off to walk around Anglezarke reservoir, the walk I planned the other week. It was a light shower when we set off but "occasionally" wasn't in evidence. The shower became a "power shower" and we were soaked before we got half way. The group just laughs it off. 

The last leg was back under the trees and it felt like the power shower was now turbo charged. It was getting beyond a joke even for this group. Back at the car we tried to peel off some of the wet layers and ditch wet socks.

It was a bedraggled group that entered the pub for lunch. They had asked us to pre-order and had actually already cooked our food so it was on the table five minutes after we arrived, and we were ready for it. Despite still being wet there was laughter at the table and no-one was put off from taking part in the next walk. A hardy bunch!  

It was good to peel off clothes and have a hot shower when I got home!
