Edafest Day 14

Poorly Eda

This morning she was awake about 6.30 am, a bit earlier than usual and was hot and crying. Mummy very easily administered Calpol and headed off to work with instructions for me to let her know how she was.
She ate all her breakfast and went off for a nap with no trouble. Woke crying again after the usual amount of time so I tired to administer the Calpol. You now get a syringe but even so I had a real struggle giving it to her! When I did it again in the afternoon half of it went down her neck (John's just given it to her in the bath!)

She didn't want to do much and it was damp so we watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She was quite happy to sit and watch ( not a normal activity for her ) after a while she wanted to do more including getting close up to the screen! Grace is in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang next week at the Bristol Hippodrome so it seemed appropriate. You can see her (just) in the car in the promotion in the Bristol Post. She was also interviewed today for BBC radio Bristol.

Eda has wanted an old favourite book today (yes I know she's not yet one) so we've read it over and over. It's a cloth book called Baby Tiger's Jungle Adventure. The soft towelling tiger head on the front is padded and squeaks; on each 'page' is another animal with something that moves or has a texture and somewhere the baby Tiger hides. She loves all this but for me the last page is the best - Daddy is found and it simply states - My Daddy is orange. Love it!

Oh and the blip - Spot the cat! The extreme a cat has to go to for a bit of peace! (To be fair she's always done it; she jumps from the top of the piano - bottom left - and gives me heart failure by going behind the back of the vase. The top of the fridge, where she has a bed and the kitchen units are favourites too!)
