Edafest Day 18

Eyes on the world!

A different view for Eda today. The weather was better than predicted and much warmer than expected but quite blowy. Grace was in for part of the morning before heading off for a final full rehearsal this afternoon and the first night performance tonight. We decided it best if I took Eda out straight after her nap before Grace left to avoid the upset of the other day.

A walk down Gloucester Rd for a bit more shopping and a drop into the Tinto Lounge for coffee. It's often very busy here so can be difficult to get in with a pram but not bad this morning, so we sat inside as it was a bit too windy out. Gloucester Rd is the A38 and is very busy so there was lots for her to see. Cars, buses, lorries, bikes, people, prams - lots going on. She enjoyed it and we'll pretend we can't see the tell tale bit of Granny's flapjack in her hair! (Had to get her out of the pram to clean out the crumbs.)
We called at Joe's Bakery for one of their famous and expensive large Sourdough loaves. Is it worth it? Yes it's 'Truly Scrumptious'! - forgive the pun - especially when you get the first crusty slice which I did with my lunch. It's for a special week this week too.
On the way back we picked up some conkers, lovely and shiny. I put them in a bowl alongside the last of the summer's roses. Two seasons coming together.

Break a leg Grace! (She's playing Truly Scrumptios in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Bristol Hippodrome all this week)
