Time flies

Lots of the usual tidying up madness as we go South tomorrow, but I managed to have a 'quick' coffee with the friend who has been guarding our little crop of peas in her freezer. Good excuse to go round ;-) but I never got my Christmas shopping done in the village as I intended - guilt made me hurry home!

Our wall calendar shows bursts of activity correlating to our presence here; sadly, the rest of September is blank but hopefully October won't be - just depends on progress on various fronts back South.

It's been dreich today (such a terrific word!) with little or no wind. The forecast is somewhat different but I'm very much hoping Helene spares us too much trouble.
