Stare down

I was surprised to get a stare right into my eyes from this little cricket until I noticed that it missed one of his big hind legs - the one that enable it to hop away in case of danger. This insect saw me and felt endangered , so it stared instead of hopping....Poor thing. But did you know they had eyes like we have? I have seen so many different insect eyes here on Blip, all new to me. Think of the big dragon fly eyes and the little or bigger spiders who have so many eyes....
