First Firing!

A small group of Hobblers and Tony returned to the Keighley Park Run this morning.  There were fewer runners than last week which made the run less congested on the narrow paths and the demon uphill. I managed to shave forty seconds off the first run and the target has to be to get under 30 minutes!

After a bit of food shopping we headed home and I walked down to the chapel to the Macmillan Coffee Morning, which was very busy!  Let's hope they made lots of money.

After lunch, Laudergirl and MrT came round with two tubs of their apples and we had a very sociable couple of hours, washing, chopping and  juicing them.

Then it was time for a few jobs and stuff on the computer before tea.

And, before I forget, this is the first firing of the new wood-burning stove.

Book:  Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
I always have to be 'ready' for an Atwood so I just read them now and again.  She expects a lot from her readers and, in turn, gives us fabulous description, witty commentary, convoluted yet entirely believable plot lines and always that suspense that makes us rush through the final hundred pages.  This one is no exception.
