Visit to Cowra

We have had a great day in Cowra thanks to some of the people we met at last night's Rotary meeting.

First of all one of the Rotarians offered to show us around this morning. He works as a travel guide but didn't have anything on today so we had our own private tour of this lovely country town, probably best know for the Cowra Breakout of WW2 Japanese POWs.
The main image is of the art work on the pylons on the bridge over the Lachlan River.

Another Rotarian is chairman of the  beautiful Japanese Gardens so he then took us around them. First extra.

Finally Mr isbi was in his element to be shown a private collection (second extra) of motor bikes and cars under restoration. It doesn't mean much to me but I will include the details below for anyone who might be interested:
Mid 60s Velocette Venom 500cc bike.
1960's Sunbeam Tiger as driven by Maxwell Smart.
There is also a second Velocette and a rare 1950's Sunbeam 500cc inline twin motorcycle out of sight at the back.
