Beach in the North West

St Bee's Beach was very calm and peaceful this morning.  We had never been there before and it was a happy visit after choosing the long way round to Cockermouth by leaving the motorway early and heading off to the Western Lakes and coast line.  It was very quiet and although it took a lot longer than anticipated and there was a distinct lack of toilets anywhere en route, we enjoyed St Bee's and Whitehaven.

Then, after checking into our abode, we went to visit DerwentLass, Ray and Rip.  It was good to find them all looking very healthy and well.

Then we went for a delicious Turkish meal in Cockermouth.  We had to go into the supermarket to get a refund on our parking fee and the only things we could find to buy were Gin and Tonic and Red wine.  So difficult.

Really looking forward to the Blipmeet tomorrow!
