New chapter

Breakfast with Mark. Keynote from Heidi. Sessions all day. Visit next month’s training venue with Woody. Wander down to The Cumberland - an alternative social spun up around Chris, the erstwhile conference organiser.

We dine at New Chapter. Good food & conversation. Most people take taxis back. Liz, Darren, and Bonnie join me walking, but not for long. I make it back alone at midnight to find Scott, Ellen and various folk drinking whisky in the Salisbury Green lounge.

One of our fellows, Mohammed, is an Egyptian archaeologist. Scott volunteers to raise £40k by April to fund the next dig. Never has whisky been demonstrably more dangerous.
