Wet! Wet! Wet!

The way the weather turned out (as forecast) I was very glad to be on tomorrow's group for coastal landscape. The 'Beer & Chips' group set off undeterred for Corfe Castle, wondering about the decision to visit a place with no roof or walls in the rain. We took some bad photos and then retreated to the National Trust tearoom for hot chocolate.

Still hot on the photographic pursuit, we drove to Swanage to look at the pier. By now the driving rain meant it was impossible to keep the lens free from drops; I have included one extra of Corfe viewed through the stocks and blipped the old pier at Swanage with rain spattered lens! We had to pay a pound each to go along the pier, with no reduction for inclement weather.

We paused at a local hostelry for the traditional beer & chips before returning to the hotel for the rest of the Visual Arts day.
