A Day Worth Recording

Patchwork & Poetry

We hosted a charity poetry reading this evening; with A being the poet.

'A' read a variety of her poems, from the serious and the controversial, to the amusing, prompting some discussion of particular topics they raised; and laughter.

The patchwork, hanging over one of the games shelves, was pertinent to one of the "poems of grief and hope" that form her most recent book The Long Way Down, of which several copies were sold tonight (with proceeds to hospice & bereavement charities, as always)
