Givin’ It large

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Cabin fever got the better of me today and I insisted that we all went out to do some tidying in the garden. I had the fear that it wouldn’t be done before winter hits and I’d have to look at it being messy for months. I don’t want to feel annoyed every time I make a cup of tea and look out of the kitchen window. I drink lots of tea. That’s a lot of being annoyed!

The Prince and I went for dinner with The Explorer and Boots to Six By Nico. The restaurant does a set 6 course taster menu and we obviously chose to have the accompanying wines. The food was amazing but it was actually quite hard to finish each glass of wine by the time the next one arrived!

We then accidentally went to a young persons bar but left swiftly after one mojito as it was very dark we couldn’t hear ourselves above the DJ. We looked like the parents of the rest of the people in the place. You know you’re getting old when you start hoping that the girls cover up to go outside so they don’t catch their death!

We found a bar which was much less annoying (where we managed to get a seat) and settled in for a bottle of wine (or 3) and lots of giggles. It was a great night. We haven’t been out with them for ages. Boots has decided to leave his job as he has been unhappy for such a long time. The Explorer had suggested that they could do something together but the look of horror on his face indicated that he wasn’t convinced that this wouldn’t be conducive to a happy marriage!
