Life's Little Moments

Amazing!!

Another incredible day that started with several hours in the rain forest with our guide, Cope.  He walks through the forest as if he is one with it ... and he found the most amazing things for us...owls, tiny white bats, tiny long eared bats and more.  From there, we traveled to his home where we enjoyed his wonderful garden and an array of wildlife.  So many birds, including 6 (or maybe 7?) species of hummingbirds.  The featured bird here is a long-billed hermit.  The image was shot at high ISO so it's grainy, but it shows the incredibly long bill of this gorgeous hummingbird.

Another wonderful treat at Cope's home was seeing a female three-toed sloth with her tiny baby.  I will attempt to put a photo in Extra.  And I'm sure someone in our little group will blip her, so be sure to click on the cr18 tag below to see all the shots.  Hoping Hilly will blip the incredible Honduran White bats, which are the size of cotton balls and beyond adorable.

Off to dinner and then early to bed.  Tomorrow our adventure starts anew as we travel high into the cloud forest of Costa Rica where there will be hummingbirds and, hopefully, the Quetzal, awaiting us.  Shutters will be blazing...

Thank you for stopping by and for all the love on my recent posts.  My apologies for not commenting, but hope you know how much I appreciate your comments!
