Greenway

The Worsley Greenway is a large area of attractive open land which separates Worsley from Monton in Salford. It has been protected for decades by the City Council’s planning policies. The owner would like to see a significant part of it (Broadoak) developed for housing.

So today an important appeal decision, backing the Council’s stand, with its decision to refuse planning permission confirmed.

There is a need for housing - not just apartments, but affordable housing, and good family housing for all incomes. This was simply the wrong location.
