Hitting the Heights

Today I hit the heights in more ways than one!

At a height of 165m/542ft the Singapore Flyer is one of the world's largest Giant Observation Wheels. It takes 30 minutes from start to finish. I had decided it was a treat that I’d like to enjoy on my special birthday and enjoy it I did and so did Mrs CBL.

At 70 years old there is only so much excitement you can take so having come down to earth again (thankfully without a bump) we headed off to enjoy spa treatments, a meal and a few drinks.

I/we were spoiled by the kind and thoughtful hotel staff who had decorated our room with banners and balloons, as well as baking a birthday cake and presenting me with a bottle of fizz and no it wasn’t In-Bru!

At night we strolled down to the Gardens By The Bay to watch the light show and we also saw the light show at Marina Sands Bay on the way back to the hotel.

It was a very colourful end to a most memorable birthday!
