Motorway day

Well not all day, but with the caravan it is quite slow.

I woke up at 8am exactly; everyone was soundo, especially the kids who were sharing the bigger double - Mollie was up one way, and boys were both up the other, all in their individual sleeping bags! It was ok for one night, but I don't think it's persuaded them that a family holiday in the caravan next year is a good idea!!

I got up and cooked a full English breakfast for 5 in an area of about 1 square metre. Eventually the rest of them got up, eating in shifts. At 10 we drove Mollie to the railway station, and she headed back to Manchester. Just 3 weeks until she is back for Christmas - 2 days after her 21st birthday. Where is this year going?

We were packed up and left the site about 11.30 from where we drove to Cambridge to collect the dog. Win kindly made us lunch and a welcome cup of tea. At 3.30 we were on the road homeward bound. Half of the journey was in the dark, but we've done that drive so many times I think Jon is on autopilot. We got in at just before 6. Jon had to reverse the caravan onto our drive in the dark, which was very impressive. It has now been emptied and I've settled down to think about the next big event. As Mollie will be in Manchester for her 21st birthday, it means Christmas is next on my to do list, plus making invites for a party we want have next year to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, which is creeping up.

So plenty to keep me busy in the next month. Ive managed to get a few Christmas presents ordered since I got in, while Jon cooked tea, then watched the Strictly eviction...Will now have to watch the show on catchup as we don't do tv in the caravan.

Then an early night!
