Looking South West

It is 3.45pm (I think). I am in “phase 2” of the Civic, on the third floor.

A meeting has just finished, everyone leaves, I lift the window blind and snap the setting sun - which is to the right of this scene.

It’s a total contrast to the rest of the day, which has been grey and wet.

I can see Fiddlers Ferry Power Station (even further to the right), the Cheshire ridge and the Welsh hills, and (to the left of this scene) the Trafford Centre. But I like the light here. The only identifiable landmark, to the bottom left of the shot, are the twin tube steel chimneys of the newish gas fired power station by the Ship Canal opposite Irlam
