Three Flags outside the Scottish Parliament

I was in the Parliament early because it was the day of the Supreme Court judgement on the EU Continuity Bill.

I thought the three flags outside the Parlaiment- Scottish, European and British - were a good symbol for the issues I expected to be dealing with, particularly when seen against such a fiery dawn sky.

The judgement was decisively in the Scottish Government’s favour, bearing out my faith in the great team who developed and took through the bill and the great team , lead by the Lord Advocate, who argued for it subsequently.
