The "Carriage Drive"

Felt like something more "natural" today. We are so lucky we can walk out our front door and be in a spot like this in minutes. It would have been even shorter from the last house we lived in (25 years ago!) which is just up the hill from this. Since all the leaves are down, you can see a bit of the road. It's real name is Interlaken Blvd. We were told that early on (1900?) the people of Seattle would drive their carriages along this lane, so it was always the "carriage drive" to us. I used it almost daily either for a run or a bike ride with our Irish setter, to tire us out - no leashes back then...very little traffic...in fact a portion was closed to cars...
Today I just liked how lush and rich and quiet it looked in between rain showers.
