An ordinary life....

Introducing Ruby the Red Nosed Reindeer...

So here's the latest addition to our Christmas family.  After eyeing her up for weeks, I finally succumbed to her charms at the farm shop yesterday and home she came with us.   She will be greeting all our visitors over the festive season.  Just the wreath to buy for the front door now and that's us done and dusted.

After feeling a bit better yesterday, I was up virtually all night coughing.  It is so annoying.  David was the same.  He was banished to the front room at the weekend as it seems that one of us gets the urge to cough just as the other one is finally getting to sleep, so it made sense to be apart.  I could hear him coughing too.   I expect a cough will be the legacy of this cold.  Hope it doesn't linger too long.

The bulk of the day was spent in the study doing the last of the Christmas wrapping.  Yay!  It's all done...well apart from a couple of things for Alan that are still to arrive, but they won't take long to wrap.

Alan is off out tonight to see The Snowman at Perth Concert Hall.  He's not back yet but I am sure he'll have had a great time.  This was part of his Christmas pressie from his pal Gil, who was also going, so he couldn't wait to see her.

David's got a dental appointment in St Andrews tomorrow afternoon and  I am trying to decide whether to go with him and take my camera or stay home and get the ironing out the way for the weekend.

 Decisions, decisions! :-))
