Hepatic Tanager

I drove to Madera Canyon on a whim and unprepared for any serious photography.  I did have my camera in the car but not a lens long enough to get a real clear shot at this Hepatic Tanager resting far away at the water feature.  It was a pretty unremarkable day until I had to show up at church to sell cookies.  That was pretty unremarkable, too.  I like those kinds of days every now and again.
